Planning
We envisioned “The Magnolia” as a modern classic large home that would seamlessly integrate all the different elements of the flower it name derives.
The plan was to use these elements to create a harmonious balance between modern sophistication and classic charm.
The wood accents were intended to bring warmth and earthiness, the teal to add a pop of color, excitement and freshness, and the white to provide a clean, minimalist yet simple backdrop.
Challenge
The primary challenge was to ensure that the integration of these distinct accented rooms didn’t feel forced or disjointed.
The designers had to find the right balance so that the wood accented rooms didn’t overpower the softness of the teal room, and the white didn’t come off as too stark or clinical compared to the rest.
Additionally, they needed to maintain the grandeur of a large home while still creating a welcoming and homely atmosphere.
Realisation
After numerous iterations and careful selection of materials, the team successfully created “The Magnolia”.
The final home features a beautiful blend of natural wood tones, pops of refreshing teal, and expanses of crisp white. The home exudes a sense of modernity without losing its classic appeal, and each room flows seamlessly into the next.
The end result is a stunning large home that embodies both elegance and comfort, living up to its name “The Magnolia“.
